At a glance shit is starting to hit the fan pretty good. Our head of state continues to say, and do insane demented shit. The election 2020 Clown car continues to drive in annoying circles.
Italy is shutting more of itself down because of the Virus. 93 countries report having it now. Washington State is in a State of Emergency as is I think New York State.
Heck the whole West Coast should be in lock down.
It won't be till too late.

On a personal note. I noticed that all, as in 'ALL' of the Chinese take-outs are closed in my hood. Some in Manhattan too. I was just there.
See above I went across the bridge to have a look around. This before the pox infected mobs burn it down. That or melt the Chrysler Building into an Aluminum Calf to worship.
Anyway I really wanted Chinese food tonight,...it's my fav comfort food. Mind you those folks are no more likely to have the Virus at this point that anyone else. Still out of caution I suppose they shut down.
This will be remembered as the "Year without Dumplings".
Well that or maybe what was written in a monk's journal during the Black Plague. For one year there was only one entry it read:

There's finally some upside news on the plague. It seems they've been having success treating people with Vitamin C:

It's also a good preventive, particularly if taken regularly in large quantities. So Linus Pauling is vindicated.
It also appears the anti-malarial drug chloroquine phosphate has proven quite helpful as well. And Pink News reports that one anti-AIDS treatment is having some beneficial effect.
So stocking up on lots of cheap Vitamin C while you still can would appear to be a reasonable precaution.
It gives me some relief to know we're not totally helpless; which is good, since our awesomely competent and well-informed government has directed the current Plague Princess cruise ship to harbor within a couple of miles of my house.
This is good news. Dr. Campbell also suggests Vitamin D.
ReplyDeleteBeen drinking loads of orange juice for Vitamin C. It's been off my menu for years thanks to diabetes. However as soon as I started my flu symptom lessened...diabetes or no I'm drinking the stuff now.
No word if cocaine chocolate or speed helps.
Though I am scanning the lit for signs of that. Till then I just stay home mostly...except for today. I missed roaming the City. Folks wearing masks now. Also as I noticed plenty of Chinese take out shops are shuddered.
Fear of racist mobs, and good sense I guess. I hate what we are sometimes. Why can't rich old white men be the source of a plague so we can all finally hate them.
Not to be helpless is the start of realistic hope.
