"...superior"

I just read that #45 sez , "...there's no need" for him to be tested for COVID-19. This as he sez his family has superior genes,...okay. I give him three months till quarantined.
The good thing about this plague is that it puts all our bullshit in it's place. A few weeks ago the Culture War static the election the gross evil of our politics was consuming.

Now we worry about canned beans shot gun shells, and toilet paper.

Aside from that here's a factiod of interest:

This above is the $13 Billion Dollar aircraft carrier the U.S.S. Gerald Ford. She's a beauty. I love this shit...though mostly as scale models. These don't hurt anybody.

On the down side in a real war with a country or countries that can fight back,...say China or Russia. Her life expectancy can be measured in days...perhaps hours.

This of course depending on the ferocity of the struggle. In a non-nuclear tit for tat sort of thing she perhaps could live for days maybe a month at best. If lucky she might even survive. In a limited military target 'only' nuke dust up...hours.

Like Battleships in WW2 Carriers are weapons of the 'last' war. WW2 was fought mainly with carriers Pearl harbor taught us that on the first day. Still the battleship Admirals wouldn't let go of their bone.

Both Japanese, and American navies had this problem.

As the months went on they quietly gave way to reality. Just as the next 'real' war will make the carrier Admirals do the same. Especially after all or most of their carriers are sunk or damaged beyond repair by missile carrying aircraft, and attack submarines.

The next real war...I mean the one where the enemy is as well armed as we are, and even more pissed will be fought in the air, and under the seas...period. There may be no surviving carriers to be turned into museums after that war.

This has just been on my mind. How the vanity of the Carrier Admirals, and the ship building cartels are robbing the treasury to build future giant artificial reefs.
