We have a somewhat new kind of war.
Live via social media.
In Vietnam there was a few hours to a day's delay.
The Gulf War was instant but under the control of
large broadcast companies and indirectly the government.
The Iraq war banned all independent coverage.
Like the Russians are doing now.
Reporters were imbedded.
Shown approved areas.
So no dead Marines in sight.
In this war with large numbers of drones and iPhones.
Anyone anywhere there is a correspondent.
This a war with the fewest barriers to the actual combat.
It's both terrifying and a boon to history.
Much less can be covered up.
Mind it can still be manipulated.
But the weight of so many iPhones' drones
and the vast number of people using them shakes
out false news shit. A lot of it anyway.
Russia insists their troops are well supplied.
Their battle tactics are working.
This video shows history otherwise.
A lone tank into anti-tank infested towns sez much.
There's no back up because there isn't any.
Further it points out how the Ukrainians improvised battle doctrines to meet their needs.
Much as the Russian themselves did in WW2.
A Javelin could have knocked out that tank.
Lacking one they waited for it.
Their department store bought flying drone
watching and giving intel.
Their iPhones recording for history
With smaller rockets they took it apart bit by bit.
They do this again and again.
You can see the hatch pushed open smoke pouring.
Only one trooper gets out.
The others are burning to death inside the tank.
You can see him trying to run away.
He may have been shot.
He is last seen at the side of the road
slowly crawling away.
This is for-real-war not a movie.
These guys hate each others guts.
Considering what Russian tankers have done.
I am not surprised at the vengeance.
Granted these Ukrainians may be toast.
But till then they're doing the do.
The best way to win a war is not having one.
I say again to all the troopers.
Shoot your generals and bosses.
Then go home.
