A FB Memory from a year ago today. The first months of Pandemic.
What to say?
Things are a bit more demented than usual in this country.
Folks running around with Nazi flags, and guns saying the Virus is a plot a hoax. That, and attacking nurses doctors.
One tried to ram a parade of support for nurses with his truck. This while cursing, and waving a pistol at everyone.
Wait gets better.
Now the good guys,...not cops, private citizens have guns.
They're protecting medical workers, and legislators from these fanatics.
Google "Fort Sumter"
On the home front here we all are. Home, and at the front.
I wonder if this is what my Mother, and Aunts felt during WW2. Being home waiting for that telegram from the War Department. One Aunt had that happen. An Uncle I never met was killed in action on the USS Franklyn. It suffered a swarm of Japanese Kamikaze attacks.
That brings to mind my mother losing a boy friend on the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor. Colored sailors at the time were berthed on the lowest decks. Neither had a chance.
This time we attack each other.
We're the laughing stock of the world. Worse the world is profoundly disappointed in what we have become. #45 didn't do this. It was there for decades. He just turned it loose. Anyway I didn't mean this sociology thing.
I'm just here waiting this plague out like you. The days meld into each other. Time stops routines lose meaning we all have degrees of a haze of loneliness boredom anger fear, and confusion.
It will end. The world on the other side will have Great Depression levels of unemployment vast misdirected rages, and total loss of direction. Okay I'll lie. We'll come out better than we went in. United brave wise generous, and hopeful. How's that?
Look just vote...figure a way just do it.
It will save maybe a million or more lives. Biden is a bleeping disaster, but his administration will at least be rational, and that will save so many lives in this thing.
Haven't wanted to eat regular meals for days.
I just don't care. Okay I had that ice cream the other night. Today a peanut butter, and apple jelly sandwich with orange juice. I'm not complaining there are many tens of thousands in this rich country that don't even have that.
I'm going back to lay down for a while.
