#45 was citing his considered "...Hunch". ...nothing else.
The real number, which he'd just made up is, "...well below 1%."

This is going to cost lives.

His fans trust this madman with their lives. This means his fan base will continue to gather in large crowds. 
Take no liberal socialist health precautions, and basically get seriously ill, and since so many are elderly,...die in large numbers. ...14%.
A similar solution in play for the leadership of Iran,...see below post.

Meanwhile back on earth this announcement by the WHO/CDC has caused alarm in the rational nations of the world.

The COVID-19 adventure continues. The Boss of the Brits sez 80% of the species will get this shit. There's a now 2% fatality rate. Though the WHO/CDC are sticking with 1% for now...fuck'em. 85 countries have the thing,...Pandemic.

Anyway the UK is making ready for the worst if it gets to that. 
Whole cities locked down as in China the military backing up police all that. This since cops like everybody else are going to get sick. The UK foresees one fifth of their work force out ill at the first peak. This during early summer.

It will level off in the hot months, but resurge into fall, and winter with a second, and they fear more harsh round then. They're talking a prolonged pandemic,...AIDS went on with no treatment for well over a decade killing millions.

Btw the southern hemisphere is going into their fall soon winter. This will play hell with their numbers it's feared. Many nations down there are getting their first cases as the summer heat fades. 

I have Facebook pals in Australia, and South Africa that are bracing as their first cases are showing up. 
Those governments are thankfully taking this shit serious. Taking hints for a response from China, and South Korea.

Iran as I said before is fucked.
Doctors on the ground know this, and are doing what they can to stop the spread despite the demented polices, and lies of their government.

I read that local jails have early released many prisoners for the same reason.

However before that happens they'll spread the virus to any, and all. The government claims 11 dead. A video shows 32 filled body bags from  COVID deaths in just one hospital.

I think the ruling clique of Iran will fall not by a freedom movement. Rather by the dementia of their fanatical theo-ideology.

Here in the States nothing.

Our head of State just a few days ago said it was a "...Hoax". 
After being told by basically 'everybody' no it ain't then said, "...it will go away,...it will vanish,...it will be like a Miracle." Then put Mike Pence in charge of it.

There are 340 Millions of us, but still as of today there have only been several hundred tested. Around 600 now up from around 450 last week. This is incompetence on a historic level, and future historian will say so.

For those that hate winter,...'thought I'd remind you how much 'Fun' New York hot humid Summers are like. My Kitchen in a heatwave last July. Okay there's the Coney Island Boardwalk, and ice cream,...but still.
It was only winter this year by the technicality of the calendar.

Despite or perhaps because of my Western Rationalism I believe in the Spiritual Realms. For me this includes Faeries, and Angels. News is coming from ex-pats about many counties being in full or partial lock down. This around the country. Kids are told to take their school books home in the event they'll take lessons online. This is already being done in Vietnam, and other Asian nations. 

South Korea is fucked. 
Three die while waiting online for treatment. 
Same as happened in China at the start of this thing. This is a concern since South Korea has been one of the few nations trying to get a handle on this with rational tactics.

I suggest "Forbidden Planet" just watched it after some years. Fox network is coming out with a new version of "War of the Worlds"

This time the aliens,...we don't know who yet. 
Anyway these swell folks cut to the chase. They exterminate most of the people on Earth in five minutes,...just like that. 
Sort of an EMP, but for living things.  If you happened to be in a subway or sealed metal room you live. 

On reflection I don't see where this could go as a series. 

I mean the Human species has been made effectively extinct in the first half of the first episode.
Other than the usual shoot'em ups with whoever did this. I don't see a possible happy ending,...unless the trailer has misled as regards the body count. 

Even if da bad guys are defeated by human farts or just decide "...fuck it", and leave,...we're still all dead.

There I go applying rational logic to a TV show again.

One with writers making shit up as they go along. So it's just a jolly band of survivors vs who knows what. 
Seems from the set up it's going to be a character driven series,...which is fine if the writing's good.

Btw the Worker's Paradise North Korea has shot dead their first three cases of Covid-19. Iran is suspected of doing the same tho' not shot...they um...might have "euthanized" their first Coronavirus cases.
