I sense autumn.
Just a very slight aroma. The fall scent was in the air after the storm. It was warm, and humid yes, but the breeze had an edge of coolness about. In the same way you sense spring in very late winter...a cold breeze yet with a faint warm edge.
The Sun, and Moon have chased each other through the seasons. We have lived another summer, and now prepare for short days cold nights, and the turning of the leaves. A Wonder.
I'd enjoy autumn all right if my house were insulated. As it is, I dread the cold and the sickness that it brings. Proper shelter is necessary to the enjoyment of the seasons.

Z... How are the fires doing in your area? Are you safe from those? Also, is the massive drought having and impact on you?
ReplyDeleteHi Anon. The fires aren't near me, nor like to be, for geographical reasons; but the smoke is everywhere. I've had lung troubles in the past few years, so it's no joke healthwise.
ReplyDeleteThe main problem with the drought so far is water quality. If you fill a bottle with tap water and leave it to stand for a few weeks, you'll find a thin film of algae at the bottom. I've been drinking bottled water.
