This a FB Memory from a year ago today. The start of the pandemic.

"The City reported an increase of nearly 1,000 more deaths as a result of COVID-19 Tuesday into Wednesday. The state listed its death toll as 20,597 late Wednesday, a jump of 952 since the day before. Gov. Andrew Cuomo reported if New York City’s 5,359 fatalities were to be included into the state’s total, it would be just under 26,000."

The national perished was 46,000 then. It’s now close to 600,000.
