• The nation topped 292,000 total deaths from COVID-19 on Thursday, several hundred more than the number of battlefield deaths in World War II, according to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The U.S. surpassed 3,000 deaths in a single day for the first time on Wednesday, a count higher than the 9/11 terrorist attacks. ...NY Times. 
• One is stunned to actual silence by this. More now Virus perished than WW2 killed in action. It took four long years of hellish war to amass those numbers. COVID did it in nine months. ...Stunned.
• We've now more U.S. dead to this Virus than died in action during WW2. That makes COVID the dominate life form on the planet for about a year now. That, and in this demented country near half still think it's not real.
• People in Trump states on their pandemic death beds deny that it's the Virus that's killing them. Near half believe, and now to the death believe it's a hoax. That all the dead are lies from liberals or perished from normal causes. Even the outside world is now commenting on the irrational behaviors of so many Americans.
• Fin O'Toole an Irish parliamentarian in the Irish Times said that "America was once envied. Now it's to be pitied."
• There was no reason to post this since if you're sentient you already know. I had to get it off my heart. Fucking more than WW2 now. That, and our current for the moment head of state goes out of his way to make it worse. Even more fun.  As Uncle Joe just said there will be no accounting for #45 or the other's complicit in this mass homicide.
