Emerald City,...A Day in the Life.
I ran into my upstairs neighbor. A medical orderly at nearby Kings County. ...above. That's one of the major medical hubs for the Northeast. She was headed in for her overnight shift. She leaves early, and comes home late.
We socially distanced chatted about the weather the constant leaks, and price gouging at the local stores. Also persons perished in our building. That, and how cases have eased at the hospital. New cases are much fewer. However earlier ones are still overflowing the wards.
She said as to sometimes she didn't want to go in, but does because she must. I often hear her coming home. Climbing the stairs going up at day break. Such are the lives of heroes.
She, and all the frontline warriors should be respected with vast wage increases. medals awards tributes, and grand parades. However our head of state said two months ago, "...we should just forget all about this, and move on."
We will move on, but we will never forget.
