This Event has made us equal. We're all the same now all over the world. Even in our divided republic. 
We are made united before this Virus. 

Yesterday the White House said 100k may perish in the best case scenario. Today they upped it to near 300,000. With over 1,000,000+ dead if we keep fucking up as we're doing now.

I think this puts our frivolous mayhem in it's place. 
The Culture Wars, and this hideous demented election. 
The Virus doesn't care what you think.
It is killing in Red States, and Blue.

Me? I feel stunned angry confused thoughtful weepy lonely. 
I'm eating too much. I'm un-believing at what unfolds day by day. I'm in walking distance from a hospital that's stacking bodies in refrigeration trucks,...the morgues over filled.

I sleep much. Strange dreams.

Small things are starting to come apart. 
I found bags of trash in my building's hallways. Folks are afraid to even go out the few feet to the bins. Our Superintendent, and his son are cleaning it up.

Yesterday morning just after 6:00am there's a knock at my door. 
A neighbor from the other wing wanted to pray with me. 

He wanted to come in to pray. 
I declined. Without a word he turned, and went, and knocked on the door across the hall.  
I wondered if he'd been doing such in the whole building.

I said, "...maybe you should go home,...this could be dangerous for you." He thought,...turned, and calmly left. 
He was no crook or nutter. Just a neighbor pushed to this.
