"Another day in the Life"
I don't know this week's official numbers. I know it's bad, but couldn't look. 'Don't know the current butcher's bill of the war with the Pandemic. Tho' it's not a war.
No more than as H.G. Wells thought. That there was no actual war between the Martians, and Humanity. As he put it. "...Is there a war between men, and ants when men destroy their tunnels while digging the foundation for a house?"
We, and the Pandemic have a similar relationship. Our job is to get out of the way, and survive.
In my personal space. Two,...this week.
Two neighbors in this building have perished in the last week. I didn't even know. Though I had seen some being taken from their homes. When going to market I witness such.
Now two in my building.
Another neighbor told me this as we passed each other from shopping. I noticed folks go out about a week at a time. Their original stockpiles now dwindling they're out shopping again.
She also mentioned she'd knocked on my door.
Wanting to know if she could do shopping for me. She lives right below me. I only just met her. Her Mom whom I'm acquainted with is near leaving so she's here for that.
People are good. Anne Frank was right,...mostly.
It was nice to speak to someone even at a distance. We chatted for a time about family life death our lives all that's going on. Before this I was going to post one of my grim pieces.
She opened my heart back up.
I was going to post self pity crap. Ya know,...I'm, weary angry confused sad tired,..stayed in bed for a day a night, and a day. My neighbor broke the cycle. This is what we do for each other.
"Small kindnesses."
As Gandalf said is what "...keeps the darkness at bay." Granted he's a fictitious character, so's Bob the Bunny. However they both make sense sometimes.
Stay home stay safe stay kind.
