ReplyDeleteAs much as I like the alternative flag design in today's post, I am convinced that if it were adopted a small but vocal minority would look at the orientation of the large central star and cry, "Pentagram!"
ReplyDeleteSoon after it would be claimed that this was the workings of a sinister occult cabal, and flag burnings would become popular.
On a brighter note, the men in Union Blue look too cool.
There should be a picture of Baphomet to make the meaning clear.

Well "Baphomet" was invented by the Inquisition.

Btw the flag is the 36 star flag used by the Union Army in the War against the proto-Nazi Confederacy.
The contemporary version in the post, and that I have, and hang out of my window sometimes has the central star upside down.
This to signal distress in the nation as flying the regular flag upside down does. '...Even at my age I'd serve in the new Civil War.
