"A Day in the Park",...before a Monsoon bleeping hit!

  1. Lately I've been taking some R&R from the Culture Wars.

It was that or as you all have seen,...that or go fucking nuts.

I sat in the shade with a thermos of iced tea, and "Dahlgren" by Samuel Delaney. I was 24 when I first read it. It still reads fine at 68.

if you haven't by now please read it,...it ain't bad.

I fell asleep as well. I find I do that when in the shade in the park now. Just like old folks tend to do. Anyway it started clouding up fast so I beat it home. Got bleeping soaked anyway.

Just like the Monsoons my brother John told me about in Vietnam.

One second bright hot sun,...steamy shit. The next dark as midnight, and rain with zero visibility. Unlike what my late dear brother had to deal with. No body was shooting at me.

The fuckers would wait for the sudden rains then let loose on patrols. No air support possible all that. Fuck war, and every shit that makes it happen.

Them G.I.'s, and them Vietcong should have been laid back getting fucking high, and laughing together.

Fuck wars fuck them all to fucking hell.

  2. Great butterfly shot! Not everyone will they allow to get so close.

Glad it was just the monsoon rain, not the hard kind.

  3. Eh,...sorry I went back to Vietnam.

Some shit triggers stuff in my latter years.

Otherwise I had a good though very hot then wet day.

I'm trying to get out more. This on your advice, and my comrades here.

    I'm slightly saner for it.

    Thanks.

  4. Oh, kudu. So that’s what that is. I don’t think I’ve even heard of them before. I guess you can tell I didn’t master in natural history.

I like that the horns are Spirals.
