I found this old post from when #45 was just elected.

Now it seems quaint. Even in a way naïve, and amusing. How times change. Now in the shadow of an actual killing plague this is truly a museum piece.

"What to do with a Mad King?"
Something on my mind I've been trying to refine. However the surreal tragic comedy of the fall of world liberalism keeps getting in the way. One gets distracted by the antics of a delusional uneducated madman being in the White House.
This, and his allying himself with similar grim personages around the world. However 'these' villains are neither stupid nor uninformed. Not good for our mad king or us. Indeed the outcome of such an alliances will be historically tragic for all the world. As for Trump we now know he has no grand plan no great thought out scheme to up-end history.
No his bizarre behavior is not a clever screen for his, and his clique's real intentions. Our tragedy is that he's really in fact actually that uninformed delusional vicious stupid impulsive petty, and thoughtless. He, and his administration is what I'm trying to understand. What has happened? This is not actual politics. It's something else I can't yet name.
He was placed on the throne by a series of ill considered maneuvers by both the Republican, and most damningly the Democratic parties. Forces of rationality were divided, and the mob elected someone as ignorant as they.
The Electoral College designed to prevent mob elections,...failed.
It sat mostly ignored through the generations, but when most needed because of neglect could not operate. What should have been a unanimous vote against the ascension of the most unqualified candidate in the entire history of our Republic. Instead gave only a handful of nervous nays.
In other times when the king was born or became mad or otherwise not able to rule. There were ancient equivalents to our 25th Amendment. A fail-safe against the chaos of an ill or mad king. A "Regent" rules in the name of the Crown. He does this until the royal is fit enough to resume command.
In our case that would be the Vice President. However if the lords, and high nobles don't 'want' a recovery. Don't 'want' a Regent or in our case a Vice President to rule. This because the mad king is doing their bidding. Further these lords, and nobles don't care what demented laws alliances or proclamations the king makes or issues.
Don't care so long as gold enters 'their' confers, and laws of their wanting are enacted.
So is this it? Is it this simple?
We're stuck with a mad king because insular power groups benefit too greatly from this royal madness. This, and they mean to keep him on the Throne indefinitely. Or at least until the Royal Armed Forces led by the Imperial civil service the educated, and the loyal to the Constitution lay siege to the fortress. Something they can't believe will ever happen...much as the French aristocracy did.
Here I dream.
These traitors will be seized. The mendacious lords, and 'their' king will be put to trial
If they keep their heads depends on the extent of their theft, and the damage they did. If relatively minor because they didn't rule long perhaps mercy. Forfeiture of titles, and wealth. However if longer reign endangerments to our national safty, and cruel, and terrible suffering by the people. Then perhaps something more entertaining, and final for the usurpers.
As for the king that depends on if he may still be of use. If not there may be a 'terrible' accident.
More on this as I consider the ongoing complications.

I've been worried about mountains of Pandemic dead earth quakes, and demon zombies lately. I mean it's always something. On another matter. Stand up comics sometimes perform in the subways,…Chris Rock started this way.
There still is I think the tradition of Speakers Corner out in the world. So I thought I might give that a try. Stand-up Lecturing in public.
Start in the Subway, after the Plague, and see where it goes.
A shave haircut, and a bow tie should do it. As you recall I once considered a one person witness for World Sanity. Not Peace I knew better. Also it comes to mind being Black while lecturing could get me shot by cops.
So a bullet proof vest might be an idea.
I don’t know if they shoot comedians, but lecturers,...a risk. Anyhow a shower shave a Kevlar vest, and I might make some headway with the sweaty masses.
Start with a joke.
Something like, ”…We cling to memories as if they define us. However what we do is who we really are.“
This had them rolling on the cold tiled floors at social services back in the day.
With that plow into Existential Reductionism in the context of Population culling Plagues, and Rising Oceans.
What could go wrong?

Bob Dylan released this a few days ago.
This in the middle of the greatest Pandemic in a Century.
His timing as always is perfect.

I wish I were a boy today. Even now in a Plague. A 21st Century Queer Sissy teen. As opposed to the mid-20th century Sissy I was. 'Had to hide everything in those days. It was no fun. Everyone around you was telling fags jokes, and saying how much they'd like to 'kill' some fags.

Swell fun being a Queer kid or Queer anything back then.

It's no blow-job in the park today either, but at least now you know you're not alone. Queer young boys, and teens today feel safe or free which is it.

Neither maybe.

Perhaps at long last they just don't give a fuck what anyone thinks. That's as close to freedom as ya can get around here.  Still it seems the more public the more dangerous.

It's a trade off we didn't expect.

However now in numbers young Queers are looking the part,...in the open. Fuck anyone that don't like it.

Anyway as I started to say if I was a Queer Sissy kid or teen today I think I'd dress up pretty grand. Like Quentin Crisp did nearly a century ago. He, and the other brave Fags of that time were the real Heroes of this whatever this is now,....a Revolution of a kind.

Saint Quentin Crisp above as a young Gay Blade about London in the 1930's. What a guy! Google him, and watch the damned movie if you can find it. "The Naked Civil Servant".

He wasn't perfect. He was no Angel, but so what.
Ya get your Heroes where you can, and he was more than good enough!

"Dreams"

"The Heavenly Cupid"

Title to a 1930's self-printed art book.
This by the British prophet of kindness, and love
Ralph Chubb.

Saint Ralph would have recognized
Angelic auras here.

I had a very vivid dream when I was a youth about a monastery, and sky-blue robed monks. There were newly built pagodas sitting in pastel green fields of grass. I could smell the fresh cut wood they were made from. I remember in this dream running up the new stairs with many other boys.

Monastery lads decked in simple robes the color of the afternoon sky.

I remember gardens of crystals, and tall dark blue mountains in the distance. There was music too. A kind I'd never heard before. On instruments I didn't recognize.

I always felt that someday I would find this place.

I always felt that this was where I was supposed to be.

That this dream has found me, and was calling me home.
