CSPAN Radio and CSPAN has a good show from 7am to 10am
called Washington Journal most times this show is repeated as AUDIO on the app.
on video using the website, you do not need to see the show at 7sm to 10am.

some callers are, nesd I say, really fuked up, but some are incredibly right on. This show is well know to have the problem of no fact checking. so, it's kinda frustrating at times. but worth it for the gold callers. Also the guests are super good.

errrr, so you don't want to listen to some of the top historians in the US about the Civil War. Too bad, one of the presenters got into the post war studies on what the Union troops were stuffed into their head. They have many letters sent home that put out the evidence that they were not happy to have the job of "rescuing the (most of) confederate troops. The propaganda was thick, it was needed to be, cause it's so laughable. The historians proved the Union strategy (and one powerful weapon) was to convince the Union volunteers (she mostly read from their letters and not to drafted kids) that it was the evil crazy super rich (millionaires with 100-400 million in wealth, farms, humans, horses, etc) in today's money, TO SAVE the poor White Boys. These monsters were the enemy of the Union, their low level troops, we could say, the crackers, are in need of rescue.

She said, EVERYONE today knows how the fuck could the boys from NY, Connecticut, etc NOT KNOW the boys down south were probably being fed similar propaganda. THEY WERE. The Confederate boys were made to believe at the beginning (way before Gen. Sherman's fight to the sea campaign, giving proof of the propaganda) that the Northern boys were extremely evil and they personally want to kill the innocent men and women and burn all the farms. They were only a killing machine. You are to defend the weak people in our states.
There was much more, these CSPAN shows are still up as videos.
It's not that I don't want to listen to them,...I've probably read some of their books.
