From my COVID Journal. December 28, 2020
The National Cathedral bells rang 300 times for the Pandemic dead in this country. *The CDC put it at 308,557 perished since February 2020. More than all the U.S. combat deaths in WW2. The bells tolled once for each 1000 people perished. To my knowledge this is the first official show of acknowledgment to what has happened to us. During #45's administration there was no observing of the deaths no words for the mourning. That administration dismissed the entire thing. The head of state saying, "...we should just get over it, and go back to work." This has passed our better selves have spoken. Now we acknowledge our times.
As of this reposting in December 2022 the national perished is 1.5 Millions ~1,100,000+.
Variations of the virus continue to infect and kill into 2023.
I was infected twice over these years...after the vaccine.
The 2021 Vaccines keep not all but many alive but doesn't stop infection.
And the young people I work with make comments about the response to the pandemic being "overblown". An attitude which is easy to adopt untill death begins to get personal.
ReplyDeleteWe only know what we see. Those that didn't believe or were hostile to the idea of a pandemic didn't experience its full effects. Didn't see Emergency services taking the bodies of the neighbors from their homes. Shops empty of products closed some for good. Whole cities appearing as ghost towns. They were just regular folks that didn't see or know so didn't believe. Crisis actors or media lies sufficed for them.
ReplyDeleteMany states were blessed in being only lightly touched. Folks there listened the then head of state and thought it was just a regular flu...to them that's what it looked like. We're human...we only believe what we see. If there was a national plan. The lockdown regs would have been tailored to regional realities.
Wyoming, for example didn't need the restrictions of NYC and State.
The Emerald City and State had 78,000 perished in those years. The WW-2 Atomic Bombing of Nagasaki 69,000. New York didn't suffer that in one terrible moment but slowly yet painfully over two years. NYC alone had 45,000 lost. Wyoming barley two thousand. My section of Brooklyn had more.
So they were blessed and I'm happy for them. I'm happy for all that escaped this horror. That they would in a culture war context perhaps hate me is immaterial. To be alive is to learn and change. Not just for them but for all. Your humble narrator included.
I just wish that information was at the time presented to them and others in their situation. If so the Pandemic might not have been able by some to be used politically. Like Stalin said "...the death of one is tragic. The death of many is a useful statistic." One that can be used and was.
I'm not hostile to the idea of an epidemic. What I reject is corporate and government shills censoring dissident scientists with the duplicitous dishonesty of Stalin, airbrushing them out of public existence like vanished Politburo members, and gaslighting the public with lies about their toxic and ineffective mRNA "vaccines" that are about as useful as the deadly AZT, if you happen to remember how many gay men that killed. Oh yeah, and trying to force through vaccine passports and quarantine camps and locking down all the world and systematically destroying small businesses and other flagrant violations of human rights. That's what I object to. I mean, you do realize that the Nuremberg Code does not exist any more, don't you? That the Geneva Convention has effectively ceased to exist? They have been violated beyond recall and are currently being treated as asswipes by all the most expensive universities in the United States at this very moment. You recollect that famous photograph of Eleanor Roosevelt holding up the Universal Charter of Human Rights? Well, that is OVER. There ARE no "human rights" any more. And there never will be again, as long as the explicitly eugenicist policy of coerced vaccination is in force anywhere.
