"...Tiles"





The tower of the former now demolished Church of the Redeemer. 
Atlantic Avenue Brooklyn. They even chipped the subway tiles away. 

The fall of places of worship always gives pause. 
How fleeting are g-ds how quickly new ones appear. 

It’s now a vacant lot. 
You’d never know people prayed and hoped there for 128 years.  
For everything and everyone there is a season.

  1. What did they do that for? It smacks of the destruction of Penn Station: destroy something great in order to replace it with something stunningly inferior, or with nothing at all.

  2. In this case nothing at all...still vacant after near four years. This in a hot NYC land market. This sez...rather loudly it was political. They even chipped away the subway tiles...this was a hit.
