“…frenzies”

The South has nationalist frenzies from time to time. 

The 1860’s 1920’s 1960’s and again now. 

This as they deport Hispanic migrants to cities in the North in spite. 

The Civil War settled that we were one country. But it didn’t address what kind. 

We are a young evolving republic. 

Still fighting foundational wars over our identity. 

Currently it’s amongst Liberal Democracy Predatory Capital Oligarchy 

or a mob driven Nationalist Autocracy.  The latter two seem united.

The debate continues.
