"...sort of"

I learned a fun fact. Staten Island, which is almost like the United States was named in honor of the Dutch parliament. That, and not some scary pirate like I thought. It wasn’t officially ‘Staten Island’ till 1975. It was Richmond County. Which no one on Earth called it. See below. Sort of like North Dakota not being a for real State all this time. It became one in 2012. They finished the paperwork after 140 years. Seems they were busy being cowboys which sounds like more fun.
