Yesterday was hotter than a goat's butt in a pepper patch.
I just heard the phrase online.
It works for our condition out there.
I grabbed my brimmed sunhat water bottle and cane.
As I just posted comrade 'Z' went the hell out.
Went to da damned park see above.
Yup like a maniac I went out onto the
Hemispheric heatwave. Yeah, the whole of the Northern Hemisphere is in one big fucking deep frier.
From Japan to India China to Russia to Europe and slopping over to deep fry near all of North America. We are finally united by something. Heat strokes. So stay da fuck hydrated.
Btw that supply chain thing has fucked us.
It's has given the locals here an ice cream famine.
Just swell great just when we need that stuff.
On the upside remember:
"There ain't no devil it's just gawd when he's drunk."
Tom Waits gave us that note.
Only mad goats and Englishmen go out in the noonday Sun. Have you considered settling for sherbet? I can’t do ice cream these days, nor anything else with even the least cholesterol, on account of gallstones.
ReplyDeleteOddly enough it’s rather chilly here, near the coast. I’m not complaining too bitterly, because full-on Summer usually means the fire season makes it too smoky to take a walk without inhaling the equivalent of a pack a day.

Mad dopes and Englishmen indeed. Glad the earth hasn't caught fire in your hood. Another cooker in the fading Emerald City. ...we make do. True, Sherbet would do the trick. Sadly, never saw it in its sugarless version. No ice cream in any version in Emerald on Hudson these days. So the only safe thing for me is iced seltzer. ...which I like.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of dreaded six pack smoker days. The Smoke from your region often makes it all the way here. Even at 3000 miles it still burns the eyes dims the skies and make the sun seem like it's the final daze. A 'Rapture sky' as a pal called it. Such times. On the upside it's not boring. Hasn't been in some time. Be well and have some sugarless iced tea for me.
