I'm a military fan so have been watching what they're up to. They ain't kidding. The Ukrainians-are-going-to-fucking-fight-to the last soldier-the last bullet.
I saw unofficial videos of their cops' firemen civil servants' grandmothers even their cute Boy Scouts arming themselves. See above. Kids are already fighting Russians in eastern Ukraine. Aw fuck! Kids are too sweet to die! Kids at the front is always a sign of total war.
After the Red Army slaughters most of the Ukrainian army, the people will fight. Surviving soldiers' mailmen clerks and scouts will have at it. The Russians did just that and became partisans in the face of them Nazis. So they should know better.
There's already talk of a years' long insurgent asymmetrical bloodbath. Think Russia in Afghanistan in the 80's... only this time closer to Paris.

What better than another stupid and expensive war in a faraway country where our national interests are not engaged? It's all good, from the standpoint of the military industrial complex. Another benefit is that as a result of this conflict natural gas will become more costly, driving inflation up even more, certainly in Europe and probably here as well. By the way, were you aware that the Ukrainian government the CIA installed a few years back is staffed in large part by genuine SS insignia-wearing neo-Nazis?

He's actually declared a State of Emergency because some truckers have been in Ottowa protesting his despotic edicts. The police there are currently brutalizing protesters and shooting dissident journalists - with nothing worse than rubber bullets, I hope. Civil disobedience is now terrorism under this New World Order.

Well okay, have it your way. But if globalism triumphs you're not going to like it. There will be no freedom. None. If the government doesn't like your politics or objects to something that you say, they will freeze your bank account, as has already happened in Canada. The effective suspension of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights that we have been experiencing for the last two years will be permanent. Things that were formerly inalienable rights will be privileges, to be granted as a reward for good behavior, or withheld at the whim of our rulers. We will have a social credit system as they do in China. You won't be allowed to leave the house without taking a cell phone to track your movements. The technology for this is already in place; it can quite easily be rolled out with just a few bad political and judicial decisions.

They are old school blue collar workers engaging in peaceful civil disobedience. They have substantial support from First Nations groups, who have participated in their protest. As for hoping for sickness and possible death to those who have made unapproved medical choices, be careful what you wish for. One of the worst things about this appalling Covid farrago is the way in which politicians and press have deliberately sought to create an unbridgeable chasm between the people, based on our medical decisions. They are attempting to build a caste-based society composed of clean and unclean, of ubermenschen and untermenschen, with all that that implies. It is a powerful force driving society in the direction of the sort of totalitarianism that I have sketched out above. It is evil and we should oppose it.

Actually, in principle I agree with you. However, there are some luxuries I just don't have. This alters for me the socio-political equation you set forth.

In my life experience...I'm totally subjective here just my personal experiences. Within that, old school white collar white people are the ones that beat me up called me Ni##er and traumatized my childhood.
I'll grant the bigger picture is variable.
Some were kind to me too. In fact, one saved my life. A white bus driver stopped got out and yanked from a mob of white boys that might have killed me. This in Broad Channel Brooklyn 1962...I was 12.
He said I should have known better than to be in that place. A white working-class blue-collar hood. He was right I was still innocent. I was visiting a school friend got jumped on the way home.
We know what we see.
Such as this has colored so to speak my view that that variety of white folks. So when I saw the truckers, I saw those kids who might have killed me. Like a white mugging victim seeing all black people as criminals. Think an older Jew not wanting to visit Germany. Complicated borderline rational, human stuff. So there we are.
Mostly bad some good like all of humanity.
As for 1984 being what globalism is at heart...yeah, I know.

I'll have no rights under Globalism, but I'm somewhat less likely...somewhat, to get lynched by white a mob. Executed perhaps for my art... lynched by white underclass guys maybe not. These are what true real-life choices look like on our kind of planet. Complicated shit with only bad and worse then, really really worse choices.
I've been giving this some more thought. The reason I say "be careful what you wish for" is because I have come to think, or at any rate to suspect, that our very thoughts have the potential for karmic blowback. I have a finger on the pulse of what conservatives are thinking these days. As you might suspect, there exists a minority among them who have a similar wish with respect to the vaccinated: that the vaccines will turn out to have dreadful side effects that will kill off their political adversaries. This is an awful wish, and I won't be surprised if it comes back to bite them in the ass in some way.

These years like the pre-Civil War era have in visceral terms divided this republic. We stopped seeing each other as just folks wandering around being folks. Whole sections of our nation are seen now by many as hostile foreign countries.

There are more choices than the worse and worser I mentioned. There are more and better ones. I just can't see them so trapped in the fog of hell as we are. I think of the saying: ...There are a thousand doors out of hell, and we only have to choose one.
