"...diamonds"

As Autumn blends into winter, and the first frosts, and snows appear. I'm reminded of an event from my youth. Late one night with friends we were driving through Vermont. Coming home from a science fiction convention. This at Bennington College.  A car full of fans so you can imagine. We glided into something we'd none of us ever seen before. A shimmering fog. We got out, and walked in it. It was an actual fog of ice crystals. A fog of diamonds. Ice fog. Routine for the locals a miracle to us. I say routine miracle because nature just does this. Wonders everywhere.
