"...and now for something completely different."

I just found this science fiction comic book cover on this site. https://www.facebook.com/groups/210046062906517/photos/
I remember reading this as an 11 year old.
The plot was a jet fighter was shot down by sentient Frogs.
The pilot discovered in the wreckage.
The Frog folks put him an air bubble for study.
The language barrier was insurmountable no matter how hard they tried.
The pilot eventually escaped the ocean Frog realm.

Years later his son goes on a NASA expedition to Mars.
There they find what seem to be simple plants.
However these are in fact sentient beings.
Again the communication problem.

Btw they never mention them Frog folks again.
I assume they were H-bombed to hell, and forgotten.
Below a page from the comic.
It takes place in the far advanced future of 1971.
Oddly no one is wearing platform shoes.

Anyhow our hero white guy astronauts grab some samples.
Rather like them Frogs grabbing that pilot.
The kidnapped the "samples" are taken back the earth.
Like that Colombus guy grabbed Native Indian samples.
The plant beings imprisoned for study, and unable to communicate as the pilot wasn't.
However for them no escape. The poor bastards are stuck.

This was pretty advanced, and humane stuff for early sixties comics.
I've remembered it for over 60 years because of it.
