"...it ain't over"

More from my early COVID Journals.

As I post in August 2021 the Delta Virus mutation rages. States again overwhelmed.

This post below from the very first days of NYC COVID.

Lockdown March 23rd 2020.

There, and back again. My short adventure out getting my meds, and paying my electric bill. Both the streets, and trains were empty. I was literally alone. Like a Sunday morning at 5am. On the streets I was not within 50 feet of anyone. I took care of my affairs. Went to the also empty supermarket. I checked first for crowds. ...empty. However price gouging had begun.

When I came home I showered, and washed with alcohol.

Put my things in a laundry bag, and sprayed with disinfectants.
Army helicopters buzzing about. NY Air National Guard I assume. I saw an Army convoy on the parkway. Coming from the direction of the airport. Life in wartime.
The earth abides.
The grass is starting to poke up.
Trees are budding much more than when I was last out.
There was no mail delivered. No current newspaper at the market.
I'm starting dinner. Rice veggies chicken. All is quiet. Life goes on.

  1. They could end the plague with ivermectin in three months. Most of India did.

  2. I don't know what they're up to.
Everything they do is for power, and money. How does prolonging this do that? Well okay I can think of a bunch of things. However most of these hurt the ownership class.

Following the money,...well they don't come out ahead.

Maybe it's like those landlords that burned down the Bronx for the insurance money. Btw only a few every went to court, and I think maybe three did time. This out of a few thousands. The fall of this country is going to benefit our owners in some very big sort of way...I just don't know how.

  3. The lords of tech have benefited immensely from the neverending lockdowns. Amazon, other online shopping outlets and social media have profited on a vast scale. Many thousands of small independent businesses have gone bust, so that everyone has to shop online or from big box chain stores now that the small-fry competition has been destroyed. Millions have little to do but gawp at FB and Twitter and the like. It's all served to concentrate more wealth in fewer hands. Wall Street is still pulling off its snake-charmer levitation act, unruffled by the destruction of half of the productive economy. The only thing rich people are complaining about is a labor shortage because too many people have had enough time off to contemplate the fact that their lives in the rat race bite the big one, and are thus reluctant to rush back into it.

We have been experiencing an unending tsunami of propaganda. To listen to NPR, the WaPo, the NYT and the rest, you would think that the entire medico-scientific community are of one mind on the virus, its (lack of) potential treatments, the vaccines and all things relating to mask mandates, lockdowns, etc., etc.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Is being in universal agreement without any significant discussion, challenges or debate something you would describe as a feature of the scientific process? In reality there is intense disagreement and heated debate among doctors and scientists concerning most or all of these things. That we only get to hear one side is the result of a scorched-earth Soviet-style censorship policy being rigorously enforced by mainstream legacy media and big tech. Some of the most eminent scientists in the world have had their social media channels instantly nuked by high school dropout "fact checkers" for mentioning a dissident medical thought, or even for quoting statements that are on the CDC's own website. Doctors are being threatened with having their licenses revoked for discussing forbidden ideas.

If you want to get the lowdown, it's still worth checking out the YT vids of Dr. John Campbell, and those of Dr. Chris Martenson. So far they've both managed to avoid getting cancelled. Also, here are some heavy hitters in the world of virology who've expressed ideas you probably haven't heard: Dr. Robert Malone, Dr. Geert van den Bosche, Dr. Luc Montagnier, among others. Montagnier is the guy who discovered HIV; Dr. Malone is the inventor of mRNA technology; without his work the current vaccines wouldn't exist.

There's much more to say, but it's way past my bedtime. Take care!

  4. That Wall Street thrives despite the evaporation of the livelihoods of half the people is more than telling. A handful of the usual enemies are nearing trillionaire status. So much so they have their own private personal space programs.

When I say I don't know what these guys are up to. I mean long term. Unless it's the "1984" future as described to Winston Smith while under torture.

"...If you want an image of the future think of a boot stamping on a human face forever."

I can see them at ease with such a history.

    As for the Plague.
It's getting worse. The vaccinations aren't the magic bullets they led us to believe it was. 53k new infections here in the Emerald City. By September they expect a 200k daily infection rate nationally. We're almost back to where we started.

They're trying to blame it all on the unvaccinated, and them MAGA folks. Yeah they eat some of da blame. I bought that at first. Till neighbors, and FB friends commie liberals all, and vaccinated were infected with Delta.

    Aw hell.

So what I wrote above is what I'm once more doing.
Back to square one. I'm forced to go on the assumption that for some...like me aged with co-morbidities up the wazoo, I have no protection.

Some old comrades from my radio daze thinking the worst was over had planned a trip to celebrate at Coney Island. The reports of infection vectors there. Some portions shut down for a week, and all employees re-tested...23 new cases found. Six vaccinated among them.

    So much for our re-union.

The Mermaid's Parade which I always went to, and posted snaps of it here for years now. It was canceled in 2020, and this year moved to September. So instead of opening Summer it would open Fall...weird, but we thought cool.

    Canceled again.
Delta, and the local infections finished it for good.
    Next year...who knows.

As for cancel culture hitting the scientific community. I'm not surprised. It's a bipartisan effort, and it works fine. As you say I'm surprised Dr. Campbell hasn't been deleted yet. 'Been a fan since you turned me on to him at the start of this fucking nightmare.

So as I say here we are right back where we started.

Instead of an insane head of state killing people with demented advice, and a refusal to have any real plan.
We're being killed by well meaning system wonks who are very sane, but with exceedingly bad plans.

Hey this is America...we get to chose who kills us.

  5. I'm hoping to get some ivermectin in case I or mine come down with the delta bug. I gather the first symptoms are a runny nose and a bad headache. So far I've kept sickness at bay with supplements, but this delta thing is very catching and calls for more ammo.

You're exactly right that the vaccines aren't the magic bullet we were promised. It seems they do help keep symptoms from getting more severe than they would otherwise, but their protection tapers off after a few months; hence the talk of booster shots, which is just another cash cow. They may help people in their seventies and eighties, but kids shouldn't be getting them; nobody knows the long term effects. There are proven treatments, and we should be using them. By suppressing them instead, the authorities are killing people.

  7. My sister is helping me with sane alternative meds. Seems she likes me, and don't want me to die...least not right away. Loves that kid. We're the last. My brother most of the family gone.

A few cousins are holding out too.
We're da last of the Mohegans as my dad used to say about his generation when they started going. ...oops did I say something racist.

Hard to say since my dad mostly Black was still one quarter Seminole. This Politically Correct stuff is complicated. Bleep it. These times are messy nuts, and seriously not as much fun as I thought a plague would be.

They say this will be like da flu or HIV. We'll all have to get some sort of shot every year,...maybe a few times a year. I can hear them old fashioned 1940's cartoon cash registers ringing their guts out now.

Wish I was still a speed freak Coke head. Speedballs da life, and near death of da party! Life made so much sense then. Think I could get a Social Security stipend for that? ...well food to, but dope passes da time so well.

    I'm kidding.

    Just happy memories is all.

    Be well stay well.

  8. I do so miss the Mermaid's Parade.
That is one of the last traditions I still observe. The Holidays went decades ago. However the Parade is when'n where my old comrades still gathered. Now that's gone too. I've a fear I won't live to see another.

Yes I know, and accept things end they pass away as we do.
...as we all do. Don't mean I can't be weepy, and pissed off about it. ...which I am. Bleep it life goes on. The Earth Abides.

You be safe be good, and laugh as much as possible.
