    Temperamentally I'm somewhere between Nietzsche and Schopenhauer. The latter was grouchy and hated noise, so probably closer to him. "The higher your tolerance for noise," he wrote, "the lower your intelligence." A man after my own heart!

    Yep I'm with you both. Noise is a variety of war crime.
    It's actually used to torture folks down in Gitmo.
