"...news from the front"

From the Boston Globe:

“In two days, more than 260 shootings across the United States killed 94 people and injured 236, according to data from the Gun Violence Archive. They happened in 37 states, from Washington to Florida and from Arizona to New Hampshire, shaking big cities and small towns. And they account for a 48-hour snapshot of gun violence in America.”

It was a long year. Near 600,000 dead of plague. Like a major war. Our biggest war. A president his power based on deliberate divisions loses an election. The tries to overthrow the process. Sends mobs to ransack the Capitol Building to stop vote certification. They wreak death, and destruction.  A rather historically full 12 months. …and these just the highlights. One must expect aftershocks. Especially considering the irrational state of so many Americans after all that.

I’m frankly surprised it isn’t worse.
