I remember your books being available in Amsterdam a long time ago. I think also in a couple of bookstores in the USA. I fear those days are gone forever.
I awoke this afternoon with an email from my family lawyer asking me to remove the post with my drawings. Even though censored. I called her. She was very concerned for my legal liability, and physical safety.
Well that didn't take long.
later I heard from my sister...my only family now. She asked me as well. I was moved by their affections, and concerns.
I decided to do as they said. I made my point. I did what I felt I had to. This in memory for my friends who also worked in the printed arts. That a few lines of ink could stir such emotions sez what we have fallen into.
I took it down a few moments ago.
I had intended to do so anyway, but just not as quickly. As you know a few times a year I post my old drawings. Some going back to the 1970's...over 50 years ago. However yes I do take them down after a month or so. Posting them was just my way of showing the flag however briefly.
I wept later. This for the fearful ugly times we have lived into. Where feeding the homeless in many places is now a crime. Where voting is now more, and more restricted.
You're on a roll again Uncle!
ReplyDeleteGreat to see your posts!

Well I do what I can...wish I could post my fucking Angels like the old daze...aw well. To bed...be safe comrade.

One must weep because of this.
