    Love this one. Especially the angel profile. Botticelli was obviously enraptured with him. These angels are far more compelling than the titular subject of the picture, which is the Madonna of the Magnificat.

    By tradition. Queer themes were blended into the backgrounds. The peripheries of major works. Coded messages for those who could recognize them. Over the centuries generations of holy Queers did, and were grateful
