I was on another page. A bit of a flame war. There asking if the Feds should stop taxing people over 65 or 70. In particular property taxes. Many elders are evicted as they can no longer pay these.
My reply once I calmed down, "...Leave elders alone to live then die in peace. This in the security of their homes. Government can easily handle the tax loss of people over 65/70. That would be Social Democracy. Humane capitalism. Our Preditory capitalism kicks old folks out, and justifies it. We have to be better than that." That such is a radical position sez much. We've still so far to go.
