70f in Antarctica today.
Most of the U.S. Northeast has had no real winter this year.
Update.
Cold winds blew into Brooklyn this afternoon.
We've had the high 40's, and fifties all winter.
Now it's gone all the way down to 45f.
Just about right for early April.
I just want a little snow. Even bleeped up messy soggy NYC snow.
I'll take what I can get. Damned stuff even get's into the Subway. I'll take it!
45 fahrenheit? It's been colder than that here most nights. There's no insulation in the walls of this rickety old house, so it's worse than you might think.
ReplyDeleteHere where everything is winterized it's hot...I mean hot.
ReplyDeleteThis winter I had to use the AC several times. What with the heat coming up in our building, and it being nearly 60f outside.
The damned thing is on a seasonal timer.
The effect is that it 80 or more inside.
Swell.
However stay safe, and warm where you are.
ReplyDeleteAs I posted one of the weather wonks said we're having a winter that would be normal for Georgia. We should be having one akin to southern Canada.
We're all fucked.
