This is the kind of truth that there's no arguing with. Once the Pythagorean theorem is proven, it stays proven. Also this kind of knowledge is applicable to art. There's a form of perspective that relies directly on conic sections and the generation of sine waves. Yadegar Asisi, an eminent artist and architect, uses it all the time.
