"...ya can't make this shit up"
On a lighter side of the news folks were jolly, and laughing in the streets of the Left Coast as their lights were shut off in their faces.
The Happy "PG&E",...think Left Coast "Con-Edison" put a million folks in the dark,...sort like public schools do.
All this for their safety.
Sort of like how the Bosses of Flint Michigan poison the drinking water because it good for folks. The thirsty masses only complain because they're lazy ungrateful, and socialists.
"PG&E" cut off everyone's internet porn to stop forest fires,...???
Seems high winds dry grass sparks, and high voltage power lines are not after all a match in heaven made.
...yeah whatever.

Hey Sidney... this is Growth! Progress! Development!
ReplyDeleteAin't it just swell??? We can't get anything right!
Wait shit will get even better.
ReplyDeleteTo this day I have a lung ailment that started with the wildfires of Autumn 2018, which were largely caused by the negligence of PG&E. For two weeks we breathed the worst air in the world. They also shut off the hot water and the heat to my house for ten months, right through last Winter. It was horrible. For all that time we froze and had only sponge baths. My sister got pneumonia and I got the flu so badly that it took two rounds of penicillin (ten days each) to knock it out. Did you know that both of those diseases are each among the ten leading causes of death in the United States?
ReplyDeleteWhat they're doing now is being sold as a safety precaution, but I think there's an element of blackmail; they're demonstrating their power. This reminds me a lot of what Enron did. I hope it backfires on them politically. But the spoiled people of this state are spineless and stupid, so it might not.
PG&E is a criminal organization. That's not just my opinion; it's the opinion of a Federal judge who made that determination in a Federal court in San Francisco in January 2017, in connection with the San Bruno explosion of 2008. But of course the executives responsible for that piece criminal negligence are shielded from personal responsibility. Instead the governor has promised to indemnify them against the bankruptcy which has resulted from their corruption and incompetence. Bondholders must be protected, no matter the price. See what I mean about stupid and spineless? Gov. Newsom loves helping rich people; he's the Jolson Trudeau of the western seaboard.
PG&E kills people. I've seen a video of some of those killed by the fire in Paradise, California last year. There was a shot of a burned out car containing the bodies of a man and his mother who didn't get out in time. It was the most horrifying thing you've ever seen. So far in the last few days three people have died because their oxygen tanks lost power; groceries and gas are not being delivered, traffic lights are shut down. And of course when you shut off people's heat through Winter, what do you suppose will happen to their morbidity and mortality rates?
I'm lucky to have an excellent pulmonoligist and have a good chance at full recovery; but as long as I'm in territory controlled by this mob organization, I am in danger.
To recap:
PG&E is a criminal organization.
PG&E kills people for profit.
PG&E is a blackmail operation.
PG&E creates rolling blackouts, food shortages, life-endangering conditions of cold and deprivation, and other situations typical of a third world banana republic.
Many of its executives should be in prison, if not hanged.
It should go into receivership and become a state-owned corporation under the direct control of the voters.
Kevin... Look at it this way: You are in the Avant Garde of our current state of affairs as we all descend into the maelstrom.
DeleteI'm so sorry you've gone through such hell for so long,...I am sorry. Our lives are somewhat in sync these years via our adventures in living.
ReplyDeleteWe are merely souls in history.
A terrible weariness is in my gut. I imagine yours as well. There's only so many years of trauma one can sanely bear.
Much love to you, and yours,...be well my dear friend, and comrade.
