"Peoples Pastry"
Holy fuck it's hot. It's now after midnight, and still 83f~23c, and humid. It's a wall paper peeling candles twisting steam forming on the windows kind of hot night.
Even the damned bugs ain't flying around it's so bleeping hot.
Though the fireflies or "lightning bugs" are out. Heck they're already on fire so don't notice the regular heat.
I tell ya this here ain't no night to be an Ice Faerie.
Back in the day I used to suggest that folks put out a saucer of ice cubes for the wee folks. This to get them through the heat.
Well,...I fear them folks is either outright fried or flew north to Canada where it's only 90f.
Anyway I'm just Jim Dandy.
I figure I'll just wait this shit out like I always do, and if I don't die. I'll celebrate Fall, and it's colors. Last Fall was unusually colorful at this latitude. It came late, but made up for that in colorful brilliance.
The Weather Channel said it was part the extremes of planetary changes. Sort of like this June being the Hottest ever recorded in our brief history of taking measurement,...about 300 years.
However just a tad over 200 or so with any consistent accuracy.
Ain't we got fun.
Btw there's almost no ice at the North Pole this summer. The Russians are building new port facilities for the coming opening of the Northwest Passage. The Canadians the same. They're also both beefing up their blue water naval presence,...as are we.
I expect at least a few semi-serious wars up there over borders, and trade routes. It just get's better, and better don't it.
Meanwhile the Peace Kindness, and Pastries quiet revolution continues. Forward Comrades!
