"Trekocide"
Now for something completely different. ...as they used to say on Monty Python. TV,...I don't watch it. Though I have two. This would be unimaginable back in the 1950's, and 60's. Both having two sets, and never watching either. I watch streaming online programs.
To the point.
There are or were programs I loved. These spoke from the heart were weird fun, and optimistic,...in their way. Dr. Who Star Trek, and a few others.
Trek went dark. In the new series the captain whose name I don't remember was a murderous sociopath. Nice huh. The damned thing featured the genocide of whole worlds vivid torture scenes betrayals bad writing bad acting. Basically recent Star Wars.
The same happened to Dr. Who. Finally after 50 years we get a woman Doctor. However bad direction, and profoundly bad writing in season 11 ruined her, and it.
It's a disaster.
Even the stupid producer after the fans rebelled said, "...well I guess the writing could have been better".
This has broken my heart.
The previous Doctor worked pleaded for rationality peace justice all the happy food groups. That, and had weird fun adventures along the way as Dr. Who is supposed to do.
See video below.
Trek, and Who did this as a matter of course for 50+ years. Now they don't. These are dark times so they gave is a dark Trek.
...Thanks.
'Fucking dummies it's supposed to be the other way 'round!
So like I sez I don't watch TV.
The upside is I'm not complaining about the end of the world wars poverty or my awful life. Just that TV sucks. This I take as an improvement in my attitude.
