In Detroit, a very old threat to the Pride movement reared its head today as the rainbow flag fell under the shadow of a Swastika. “[The National Socialist Movement] NSM will be armed and counter-protesting the freaks,” wrote Burt Colucci, the self-identified “commander” of the neo-Nazi NSM, on Russian social network VK. “NSM, lets put some boots on the ground!! I don’t really give a damn about op-sec or Antifa in this situation. We go in with Swastikas blazing and if people don’t like it, tough shit…”

Videos from the event Saturday showed neo-Nazi protestors with police escort marching through downtown Detroit during the Motor City Pride festivities. NSM members from across the country reportedly traveled to Detroit to take part in this anti-Pride demonstration. Of course, the history between the queer community and Nazis is not new. Part of the Nazi rise to power was a commitment to stamping out the “decadence” of a Germany that, at the time, was comparably tolerant of homosexuality.  Katelyn Kivel https://gritpost.com/

Bully Boys piss on Jewish, and Queer flags.

So as I mentions a few post down. I woke up this morning to two state senators shot dead in the land of the free. Then gunshots, and panic at a Queer Pride march in D.C. Now organized Swastika fucking Nazis crash a Pride march in Detroit. ...all in one day. Well it happened all actually over just 48 hours.

I got it all in one go because I carefully ration my exposure to the madness of these times. My sanity depends on this. History never repeats exactly the same way. However there are very real similarities to the 1930's around us.

Uncertain economies massive social anxieties. technologies changing the kinds of work still available unstable governments constant wars at the edges. In our case the added trauma of earth changes forcing mass migrations of different cultures into hostile mono-cultural nations, and the free fall of standards of living in once secure societies.

Basically all this means if you have one your little Billy or Judy comes home from school with a Swastika armband on. Is trolling attacking liberal, and queer pages online. Is going to meetings about keeping her country pure, and has friend with guns that are making bombs.

I wish I were being Hyperbolic here. In fact I may be optimistic.
