"I Declare this the Summer of Roses"

Roses. So many Roses in Brooklyn this summer. This happens sometimes. Even in colonial times it was remarked upon. Every several summers it happens. They lay dormant for near a decade. The bush grown, but few flower.

Then an explosion of Roses.

These shots I took about my 'Hood. I imagine the big parks Central, and Prospect are overwhelmed in red pink white yellow even green Roses.

I went for a walkabout today. We get 10 beautiful days in NYC. Yesterday, and today were two of them. I hope we don't spend these too quickly. Deep Blue Skies bright sun  winds people coming, and going. Life goes on. In the everyday there is a kind of hope.

Vitamin D.

This is what we get from the Sun, and it heals much. Before Civilization it was nearly all the medication we actually needed. Feeling it these last days it makes sense. The bullshit lifts you can just get on with shit.

Been a very long time since I felt anything like this. 10 years of legal meds, and 20 years of coke speed ganja, and assorted other additives didn't come close. A few hours in the sun with clean breezes, and a lack of threats did in two days what 30 years of meds couldn't.

My great feet standing on some actual Earth.

A week of rains cleaned our air, and a front of temperate summer weather gave us this. It's temporary so I'm making the most of it. I know the humidity the air inversions the heatwaves, and the chaos they bring are coming. ...more stupid kids shooting each other over nothing.

Till then,...
