"...never will"

I was trying to explain to a white comrade what being Black, but with many different ethnic elements to myself, and family is like.


My heritage is African Native Asian, and European. All very interesting however the only one of these that matters is my Black blood. One drop of Black blood, and you could be sold you were property. It's no longer the law, but it's still the custom.


A radio friend once said. "You are what the last white cop that saw you thinks you are." 

No matter that I have white ancestors that fought for the Confederacy. No matter I had relatives that fought in the Chinese Civil War, and against the Japanese.
Speaking of which I had relatives that fought on both sides of the Korean War. One Chinese, and another American both directly related cousins of mine.

Interesting no? ...it doesn't matter.

Not here, and never will. 

No matter that I have Native ancestors that fought white settlers. My Black slave ancestors are all that matter or ever will.
