"Model Charles as Twiggy"

My former heart throb Charles Guislain.
Here as "Twiggy".
(...ask your Queer uncle who "she" was.)

Well Charlie is in getting into his mid-20's.
He's got fat unshaven let himself go.
Basically he looks like the Millennial he is.

Okay so we boomers had long shaggy hair
didn't bath wore bell bottoms.
and listened to Moby Grape.

Sue us.

I've read on fashion pages besides finishing his education Charles
rebelled from his earlier fame. This as  diva Queer boy style hero.
He seems to have embraced everything that is not that.
I understand.

Sort of like that jerk who played Tadzio in Death in Venice.
This in the early 1970's
That one matured into a homophobe.

I haven't heard if Charlie has gone that far,
but wouldn't be surprised.
As I sez
I understand.
Folks need their freedom to be what they want. Take that away they go nuts, and these guys did.
Ex-Tadzio did with horsepower.

Just as well I didn't marry either of them.
...as I had as a younger man planned.
The pre-nups would have been a nightmare anyway.

Welcome to the unintended consequences future.
Fucked up like everything else up here.

  1. Nah, I doubt Charlie will go homophobic. It’s pretty clear he’s queer, whereas Bjorn apparently was not. But I don’t blame him for wanting to leave all that fame noise behind.

  2. Me neither.

Still I was a serious fan. Like a teen girl mooning over "Tiger Beat" glam shots of "Paul" from the Beatles. This back 200 years or so.

I remember a friend saying that if I was serious I'd have to learn French. I considered it. Being a fan of anything or anyone is nuts,...but fun while it lasts.

Charlie if youre reading this you were hot shit. Put that in a cedar chest to take out in 40 years to ponder.

    Thanks for the memories.

  3. I was the same way with Taylor Hanson back around 2000 - ‘05. I still think his photos from back in the day are way hot, worthy of high artistic interpretation. But now he’s a man of 35 with 5 kids (?!) - well past time to move on.

I think it’s a good thing to have an obsession that makes you happy. But there comes a time when it’s over. My art obsession is the one the doesn’t leave me - the obsession with beauty as an eternal principle.
