A religious relative of mine often post inspirational track from her faith online. I was just reading one. Basically it's that one should put it all in g-d's hands, and be patient.
Faith in traditional religions give some such comfort.
I envy them I have no such belief.
I have western rationalism. We're alone on our own. We made this Earth a slaughter house of wars murder, and injustice. We did this no demons were involved. Rationally it follows that no g-ds are needed to fix it.
We broke it we can fix it. We can heal each other, and the very planet itself. We wounded each other. We despoiled the planet. We can fix it. We can do it.
We just have to want to.
The grand pity is we don't. We could, but won't. Now if you want to call that attitude that level of suicidal stupidity the "devil'.
...well you may have a point.
To that degree evil may actually exist as a conscious entity.
As for g-ds.
We await evidence.
