I’ve been thinking maybe reincarnation is for real. Some blogger explained it in a way that made more sense than any other explanation of existence I’ve encountered.
ReplyDeleteBut this doesn’t necessarily mean a happy deliverance from death. It means we keep coming back to work out our karma, just like we’re doing now. Which really kinda sucks ass when you think about it. Though it does leave open the possibility that we might develop and grow.
But if not, if the far side of death is oblivion - then, as Alan Watts said, there’s really literally nothing to be afraid of.
Oh, and that stuff they used to teach you in Catholic school about salvation and the torments of eternal damnation - that’s not only lies, but evil lies propounded and promoted by the Church to help them abuse their authority.
