Interesting few days. That Covid booster my second but not last kicked the living crap out'a me. ...again. Out for two days. Still feel like shit...just like last time and the time before. The upside I don't die.
Look comrades if ya elders do the deed. For Elders this shit is still a death sentence. Them dying these without da shot are older folks with assorted conditions. I'm both so did the do.
On the war front seems the Ukrainians blew da shit out of some oil dump in Russia. Yeah, 'inside' Russia. This after Putin told his folks they cleaned out the Ukrainian air force on the first day.
Oh yeah? Well a flight of Ukrainian Mi-24 choppers, see above flew tree top across da border and fried Ivan's shit...they all got out too.
Meanwhile them Ukraine guys is laffing up their sleeves. Saying shit like: "Oil what oil don't know wot ya talking about."
War is sometimes funny as hell.
Mind I still see this as a white nationalist civil war. No matter who wins I still lose if I go there. I remember them kicking African students off them refugee trains. That and Poland not letting many in when the finally made it to the border. Poland just let in two bleeping Million white refugees but a few years ago tossed Syrians back to da sharks. Nuff said.
Still a game is a game. I dig they just pulled off their own Doolittle Raid bombing that oil rig. I'm rooting for the side that ain't Russian. After they gassed half of Syria shoved Queers into internment camps and shot up civilians on all them highways.
Hell, they blew away folks while they was taking a dump. Some red heroes shot up a gas station. Folks hiding in the shitter shot to hell. Yesterday as Ukranian forces reclaimed more land they found da bodies. Fuck Putin.
Addendum:
Besides everything else my local library branch finally reopened. Coming home from market and getting my booster I went over. It's been two years since I couldn't find what I wanted.
Nothing has changed.
On da up side I got a copy of the latest Ghostbuster remake. How much worse than the last one could it be...sigh. That and a drama about the early life of our hero J.R.R. Tolkien.
'Tolkien'. Which conveniently is the name of the movie. It's basically his dreams and how they were altered by being in the trenches of WW1. Lord of the Rings the whole saga is based on his idealistic youth and then watching all his pals get shot to hell in the trenches.
Life is but a dream.
Sub-addendum:
The Ukraine war is the first chapter of the Third 100 Years War. The first in the fourteenth century the second in the 20th. Tolkien's 1914 war to our paid puppet escaping off a roof into a chopper in Afghanistan in 2021. Dreary tiresome bookends.
Between the first and second 100 years wars were some centuries of limited mayhem. A kind of peace in a way. Just the odd local genocide here and there. Between the second and now the third was just six months. ...more or less. There was that phony war build-up.
The quick reboot means we're getting better at it.
