I’ve often wondered how the magical manages to live in, and around today’s world. In da old days it was easy…stay the hell in the woods and keep clear of them maniacs with swords.

Now a bit more complicated. I mean our little Faerie, and Sprite pals are around. They keep modest. Locally they turn up in Libraries…they’re good librarians. As for their traditional work. They still perform Majik. Healing spells, and such. This in parks subway tunnels abandoned buildings, and places of worship in off hours.
I mean they do what they can. These are the folks that spread wildflower seeds in spring plant saplings on side streets cleanse the reservoirs, and stuff bio-degradable leaflets about using less plastic in your mailbox.
Well one thing…
They did stop that Nuclear War back in 1962.
The launch orders went out from Moscow then Washington. The Wee folk were ready. They put scrambler spells on the lot of them jets, and missiles…not one lifted off. How ‘bout dat. They saved our butts never bragged or looked for movie rights neither.
Swell folks them Faeries.

* Above a re-post from a year ago today.
We could use da Faeries good works these days. Another trip to Moscow might be useful. *

  1. I have become convinced that spirits, both good and evil, are at work in the world. We want to invoke the nice ones, and make a point of not listening to the others. Otherwise the scene can get very Faustian, if not downright Dantesque.

  2. In my life I've stumbled on both parties. What we call dark and light.
    I was stoned for some of these and stone sober for others. It was much the same experience.

    Our terms dark and light really don't apply as so much more was going on. But these will have to do till we figure more of this wild shit out. The hard part is that none of it co-operates with the scientific method.

    Being a western rationalist this pisses me off

    Still my subjective experiences with these spooks are as valid as the objective ones. Mostly because both witnessed the same shit at the same time...we were all there for the show.

    There's a Netflix flick or a Ted Talk in all this somewhere.
