DeleteA few daze after 9/11 I was down there on my way to the radio station. Literal scenes like da London Blitz...it stays with you.
Anyway, the fires and smoke went on for days. Here's the thing...out of that hell out of the black-brown smoke flew the largest Monarch Butterfly I've ever seen. She didn't give a fuck about us or the destruction we're addicted to. She was just on about her business. Her descendants will continue so long-long after we and our demented species are just shadows on the shale.
They are among the true Crowns of Creation.
