Yesterday I witnessed a broad daylight shooting. Eight rounds fired into a crowd. I said I wasn't "freaked" by it. ...no point. This is why: Cruelty is fun. People like it. It's consistently universal. It exists outside moral instincts. Which is why we were forced to invent law, and religion to temper it. This is who we are. I made this paper figure last night while thinking on this. It's from a 100 year old pattern online. Other than voting it's the best I can do.
