"Day 547,...no kidding"

Variations of lockdown is having an effect on us all. The medical wonks don't really know what's going on. We keep doing the right thing, but our world just gets greyer. 30% carries on like nothing happened. Hospitals 95% filled with the unvaccinated. The world has gone nuts. I watch bits of live streams of folks doing everything from wandering about to slowly going nuts like me.

I really need a party. One with old pals lots of cake, and deep fried food.

  1. Hey, you should add The Vienna Boys' Choir to that party! Count me in!

  2. We are not doing the right things.

"Hospitals 95% filled with the unvaccinated."

This is false. There are thousands of breakthrough cases among the vaccinated.

Gibraltar is the most vaccinated spot on earth. 99 percent of the population are inoculated. The great majority of the people of Israel are vaccinated. Both localities are overwhelmed with breakthrough cases. Since mass vaccination, Gibraltar's daily case count has multiplied by 25 times.

Some of the poorest countries in Africa are faring much better than most of the wealthiest countries in the world. The reason is that they can't afford the vaccines, and so must rely on cheap pre-existing medications that can be repurposed to the present need. Certain ones have been proven to work, and so they use them.

From the beginning, our societies' response to covid has been frankly insane. First, there is no history showing that universal quarantine - viz, neverending hour arrest - works. We have mindlessly followed the Chinese model all the way; maybe it works for them because when they lock down, if you try to leave your house you get shot. If we keep on the path we are on, we will wind up with a Chinese Communist Party-style society.

VAERS statistics (Vaccine Adverse Effects Reporting System) show that the mRNA vaccines comport some risks; the inventor of the technology himself has acknowledged as much. A rational risk-benefit analysis suggests that they may be helpful for people in their seventies and eighties, for whom the risks are arguably outweighed by the risk of contracting covid. Giving them to young people is worse than useless; requiring that children be mass-vaccinated with them is criminally insane.

This perpetual immurement isn't happening to us; this is being done to us. With a rational coherent response, the whole thing could have been wrapped up over a year ago.

By the way, if you want to do any research to check any of these statements out, don't rely on Google; their algorithms are integrated into lie machine, as are Wikipedia and all the social media. DuckDuckGo would be a better bet. If you want the truth, say, about foods and medicines, Vandana Shiva is a much better bet than Bill Gates; and fact checkers are not concerned with facts: they are the Reality Police, whose job is to monitor what ideas you are permitted to entertain and to contemplate.

  3. I like DuckDuckGo.
It's starting to be my go to search engine.
I got the J&J vaccine on advice from my doc. It was supposed to be good for elders. Also I might not have gone back for that second, and third shots with the others. I think many perhaps most aren't.

So why am I still in lockdown?
Because a few as in three elder FB pals got J&J, and are now infected. On the other hand anti-vaxxer media folks are getting sick, and some dying on a regular basis. I get from this we're in a "...bit of a pickle" as Lord Halifax said about the defeat of the Brit raid on Dieppe.

I don't disagree that the vaccines are not the magic bullet they thought. On the other hand it'll do till they come up with something better. I understand why you seek alternative. I just make the choice not to. Choice has become a big deal in all this. Who's 'a thunk it.

The real cure will probably turn out to be cheese cakes, and ganja. Given all we've been through this makes total sense.

The 95% I got from the BBC about the red states.
These like Africa remain mostly unvaccinated,...albeit for vastly different reasons.

I meant what I said about the wonks not knowing what's going on.

We're in the middle of a major war. 600k+ perished just in this country. Generals, and other flag rank officers are known to make disastrously bad errors in them things. Like every general staff on all sides of WW!. I think we're in a similar "...pickle."

Many of the dead are at #45's feet for doing nothing at the beginning. The most critical time. After this he was a tragic clown. WHO is covered in shit as well. The CDC lost it's independence under #45. I don't think things have improved much. Large organizations take time to change,...and they don't like to change.

    The trench Bio-war continues.
So I hunker down in my fox hole watching YouTube as not to get mowed down. Hence my slowly going insane.

As mentioned earlier I just want my fucked up dreary life back.

    ON a more gleeful note.
I hope your part of the country is less on fire. That, and the gawds as giving you a bit of rain for a change. Things are starting to dry out here from our surprise tsunami.

    Yeah they warned us...a bit.
However neither they or we knew that a whole season as in months of rain would fall on this city in three hours. With the results the world watched online, and TV.

    Otherwise same old shit.
Folks are being shot in the face all over town. One loses count.
We just elected a former cop as Mayor. It's so bad I almost voted for him. I hear gun shots every night now. It's the 90's again.

If I'm not shot buying Diet Pepsi, and hot dogs...which is all i can afford to eat these days. I'll post more stupid shit. If ya don't hear from me for a week or so. I'm dead.

    ...swell.

Be good be safe, and laugh as much as possible.

  4. As for them Choir boys.
They might not fit in my digs all at the same time.
We'll have to rotate them in. I'm sure the lads will have a good sense of humor about it. Some can go into the shower. Clean body clean mind.

Umm,...some in the closets. They'll like it. Plenty of toys, and comic books stored there. Plenty of floor sitting space. Under the dining room table is also handy. Then there's the bedroom. I'll make sure they're especially comfy in there. Such sweet kindly lads.

  6. I've been thinking about this. In fact I admit it's keeping me awake. I'm up at half past four writing this, which is not usual for me. I'm really sorry the J&J didn't work out. I've heard it's probably the least dangerous of the bunch.

I think you should have your party now. Don't wait until the danger goes away and permission is given. It never will, and it never will be.

I know what I would do, and what I will do when I have the modest necessary sum. I'd get ivermectin and take it as a prophylactic. As to its efficacy and safety, I'm not a doctor, but Chris Martenson is. He's also honest, which is unusual among doctors these days.

Do me a favor: hear the whole thing before making up your mind against it.

You may have heard about an article in Rolling Stone about how people are clogging up hospitals after taking "horse paste." It's bullshit. It was based on the claims of a former employee of the hospital in question; he lied extravagantly. I've seen a letter from the director of that hospital, who makes it clear there isn't a grain of truth to these claims.

Here's where you can get the stuff:

About that term "anti-vaxxers." Have you ever noticed how vaguely and inexactly it's used? Does it mean "irrational anti-science people who insanely reject a proven safe and effective vaccine with a decades-long track record that will save their children's lives," or does it mean "a person who is in favor of vaccines as a rule, but who has doubts about these particular vaccines, on the grounds that they have never been adequately tested, cannot possibly have been adequately tested in such a short time by the long-established standards of the industry, and because the authorities are actively suppressing known, safe and inexpensive cures in order to stampede everyone into taking these unproven and possibly hazardous vaccines?" Have you noticed how the phrase is used to blur the distinction between these two descriptions, and to dishonestly conflate the latter with the former?

About Trump: Operation Warp Speed may well turn out to be the worst thing he ever did. If there is one thing that should NOT be done at warp speed, it is the development of a new vaccine.

As to the rain - I've noticed a 30 or 40 percent chance of rain on my phone's weather widget. In the last hour, I've seen a couple of flashes of lightning. Rain would be a godsend.

That's terrible about the shootings. I'm afraid the future of NYC does not look rosy. I gather that a lot the tax base - viz., well-to-do people - left during or after the riots last summer, so public services are apt to be poorly funded, if at all.

What I'm trying to say is this. If you want to enjoy the fruits of your freedom, to throw a party or attend one, you must claim them now, exercise them now. They will NEVER be given to you. And that goes for all of us.

  7. P.S. - I follow the best prognosticators in the world. There is a significant likelihood that some really awful things will happen this autumn and winter, in the economic sphere and possibly in the medical sphere. This would be a good time to enjoy yourself.

The worst of what is happening now isn't the virus. It's the response to the virus.

Nazism was horrible; but it was over in 13 years. If the monstrosity that is now striving to be born comes fully into being, it could last for centuries. If that happens, it may prove worse than Nazism. Personally, I feel a duty to oppose it.

  8. I am very tempted to use the few pennies I have left this month to buy a big ass cake stuffed to busting with whipped cream, and other dangerous stuff. That, and a bottle of for real cider. Then settle down, and watch my collection of old 1940's b/w Warner Bros. flicks till either I fall asleep or die. ...either would be fine.

  9. I think a bunch of the Vienna Boys' Choir will be coming to your place for a party Uncle!
