This was emailed to me by an old radio pal. It's from the staff page on the old radio station Union site. Dated August 11th, 2013. Eight years ago today almost to the minute. Above image I took as I stood up to leave for the last time. 34 years,... Life goes on.
Below my last post on the Union page..
"Well it's 5:02 am I just went off shift for the last time at WBAI radio, wbai.org. My last engineering shift for an institution that I love dearly. Bless all the souls I had the honor to know, and work with. Bless all those I knew, and loved who passed away on the watch. Thirty four, and a half years behind the mic, and board. I had a ball. "We' had a ball.
Now to collect my vast severance pay. Then watch daytime TV sleep a lot, and generally enjoy my retirement...NOT! I've been thoroughly profoundly fucked over like everybody else that just got kicked out. Still it was a hell of a ride!!
