A few Summer related problems.
See above.
A note to my dear comrades. I may be late in getting back to your assorted comments. Every missive praising or damning me is welcome. Well I like the praise stuff better, but still.
Anyway see the living room is now un-air conditioned. This where my TV, and cable, and computer set up is,...swell.
The Fire Department told me to remove the unit as it blocks the Fire Escape...I see their point, but fuck'em that room get direct sunlight in summer. I've measured that hell hole at 104f every summer without A. fucking C.!!!
They basically said tough shit. "...if you want a $400. violation that's up to you." Everyone's a comedian.. ...fuck. So out it came.
Anyway my bedroom remains refrigerated.
All this means I'm not in the Furnace room much. I'm watching old DVDs in my bedroom till it goes below 112f sometime at the end of September. So I'm not posting as much as I'd like
More important not keeping up on all the replies.
I just read one from Z sent in the middle of last month.
...sorry comrade.
Anyway a slow response don't mean I don't care or don't loves ya anymore. Well I don't care about a lot these days, but I do care about you guys.
I think about 500 or so regular folks come by.
This mostly from the States Europe, and Russia. Other spots as well spread around our happy gleeful peaceful everybody happy well fed, and loving world.
Remember eats lots of ice cream, and cause as much trouble for the bosses as possible. You'll be glad ya did.
You better stay in your bedroom Sidney. You don't need to get fried as the sixth extinction makes it way up your fire escape!
ReplyDeleteDamn that Fire Department!
They're giving their bosses hell in Hong Kong these days and we do our own part elsewhere, and France too on and off again. Now for the ice cream!
Ice cream!!!!!
ReplyDeletePraise be unto thee!
ReplyDeleteBy all means stay in the AC bedroom and watch your favorite stuff. If perchance you should take my suggestion about a cool bath, be sure to leave any plug-in devices out of it.
Don't worry about quick responses. It can wait. Just stay cool.
And hydrated.
ReplyDeleteAdvice taken. Staying in here for any amount pf time even late at night is dangerous. It's by my reading 92f in here at the moment,...it's after 10pm.
ReplyDeleteThese old late 19th early 20th century buildings were made thick as hell to last. They're also brick ovens. They hold the heat. It was air conditioned for so many years in this room I forgot that.
The AC in my bedroom is a brisk 64f right now. I'm going back in a few minutes. Just checking my mail, and answering comments here, and on Facebook.
Be well dear Comrade.
Also yes I take rinsing quick showers every few hours in the day time. It's going to be in the 90's for the rest of the month. The whole Northern hemisphere is burning up.
ReplyDeleteSo I sleep partly in the worse heat of the day with moderate AC. At night I crank it up, and watch old movies while eating sugar free ice cream.
2nd world poverty ain't so bad if ya know how to work it.
Going to watch the "Hobbit" now.
ReplyDeleteIt sucks, but has a few nice Hobbit songs, and the Elves are cute.
