Zooming in on the magnified images I see by their texture that they were almost certainly created with, as you say, paint. I like that. The tangible and corporeal in visual art is superior to the digital and disembodied, I think.
Also, making this kind of art is the only way I know of that one can be a dissident and not get hanged for it. If we're really lucky, they might even refrain from burning it like they did the Brongersma archive.
This is as far as one can go in this era on our beloved subject.
A friend suggested that I redo my Angels, and Faeries with leaves or such in vital places. This she said might make them "postable again". Mind you they are, and were never illegal, but they'd still be deleted.
Reminds me of when classical frescos were "repaired" by the church. Anyway as I can I will post what I find that works in our strange context.
