"COME GENTLE, AND MIGHTY ANGELIC LADS THAT DWELL
IN THE HIGER REALMS.
COME YE DOWN, AND CAST THE WICKED FROM THEIR
HIGH PLACES!"
"DETHRONE THE FLASE PROPHETS, AND THEIR
LYING CORRUPT LAW GIVERS!"
"FREE THE INNOCENT!"
"DELIVER US FROM CRUEL TYRANNY!"
"KICK SOME SERIOUS BUTT FROM HERE TO TIMBUKTU!"
AMEN.
(Repeat as needed.)
I wrote this years ago for one my Nuked Queer blogs. Remember that they used to vaporize me routinely.
ReplyDeleteIn fact I had back up empty blogs waiting to take the place of the nuked torpedoed sites.
Life in war time comrades.
These days I'm out of that business,...no point.
Also I'd said, and posted all I had to say.
Till now.
Sock it to 'em Uncle!
ReplyDeleteI think print media will be back some day, and that even now they may offer more possibility for dissident expression than the web does. I envision tiny queer book zines the size of baseball cards, and the like. Printed on silk, quite tough, they would be easy to hide.
ReplyDeleteZ
Silk or woven books. I love the idea.
ReplyDeleteSome artists have been doing this. Like thoughtful people during the Nazi, and Soviet eras. They found ways to get their messages out.
One can be very creative when you're given almost no means of expression.
This I believe will happen spontaneously as the need becomes more acute. Grave danger yes. As there was before, but folks will still do it. This till this wave of darkness passes.
The we'll go back to reality shows, and corporate all the same violent stupid boring comixs. I'm looking at you Marvel.
Btw a silk or even cloth woven baseball card sized edition of the above "Prayer' would sustain comrades in their homes on the streets at the front or in shelters.
ReplyDeleteA bleach proof machine washable tear resistant piece of hope.
A talisman a prayer card to glance at in troubled times.
One day perhaps to be displayed in Museums of the Liberation.
