"...fok"

Going to about 70f today. It will go down to 22f in two days. Everything is fine. Nothing to see here. Move along show over. That climate stuff is a liberal Queer trannie Chinese hoax.

Like Merlin said...in da movies.
Like he sort'a said:
"It is the doom of men that they forget."

Locally we've totally forgot Storm Sandy.
The fucking Atlantic Ocean smashed through living room windows. High risers in Brooklyn and Queens
became isolated Archipelagos.
Many subway stations went underwater.
The Manhattan shoreline pushed back
to its 18th century pre-landfill levels.

Water Street and Front Street we learned
were named these for a reason.
There was water and it was da waterfront.

Duh!

Yet we have stone cold fucking forgot all about it.

We got a big reminder during that September Hurricane.
storm that had planetary changes writ all over it.
Hell, I thought my digs were fucking toast.

Rain with the force of massed firehoses blasted in windows...cracked some of mine. The emergency door was shot off its hinges on our roof level. Yeah, that got our attention.
The whole of the Emerald City got the message.

But then a mere five months later.

Storm...rain what when? Wot you talking about?
That and our new Mayor shelved those anti-flooding measures.
Least till we get hit again...till then we'll just forget.

So... good fishing and skiing on da way.

  1. I don't know but I kinda think that (A) climate change is real, and (B) the most dramatic changes may play out over a longer time frame than the climate emergency team are insisting that they will. For instance, sea level rise may happen in a big way - say, by a rise of 280 feet or so - but rather than 20 or 30 years it could take a couple of thousand (this will still be plenty problematic for civilization). A greater frequency and severity of extreme weather events seems to be already happening. Meanwhile our lords and masters are using the issue as an excuse to require the hoi polloi to tighten our belts and do without, so that the remaining resources, particularly energy resources, can be extravagantly consumed by them. Example: the EU recently passed carbon limit regulations severely restricting fuel use by commoners, but specifically exempting private planes and yachts from those same restrictions.

P.S. - China is long overdue for a liberal queer trannie revolution.

  2. Same old story.
The timetable may be in question, but the outcome is certain. Meanwhile there's bucks to be made and power to grab. Those food prices that Covid gave us ain't going away nor is the process of slowly fading civil liberties. The China model might be one day seen
as the liberal alternative as things kick into high gear.
Remember when I could post freely on a certain subject dear to some. Notice now I can't even mention what it was. The algorithm searches for the words.

    This will spread.
